I am excited to begin my eighth year with Slidell ISD! I look forward to another great year of building partnerships with the community, parents, students, and staff to make our school a great place for children to learn and grow.

I obtained both my bachelor's degree and master's degree from Texas Woman's University. I hold a principal's certificate as well as certificates in 4-8 Generalist, ESL, Special Education, and FCS.

My husband and I are the proud parents of two children, Grady and Dixie. We also have a miniature basset hound, Ellie Mae. We enjoy traveling as a family, spending time outdoors, antiquing, and finding good bargains at local thrift stores.

I am so fortunate to spend my days working with the community and staff to create a positive learning environment for our students here at Slidell ISD!

Slidell ISD is On Track and Leading the Pack …In 2007, I joined the Slidell Greyhound pack and have been fortunate to experience the excitement of student success in so many areas. With an outstanding student body, an amazing faculty and staff, great parent involvement and strong community support, we continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.

I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Midwestern State University and hold certifications in English, Art, Special Education and ESL. I taught high school for 17 years before obtaining my principal and superintendent certification and moving into school administration.

In my spare time, I enjoy running half marathons, traveling, and spending time with my family. My husband is the women’s cross country coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and we live in the country with our four dogs who are my running partners.

I look forward to the opportunities we have to create partnerships among staff, parents and community that give Slidell students the support to continue to excel and positively impact the future.
